In addition to the flooding rains across the plains this weekend, an outbreak of severe thunderstorms with tornadoes, very large hail and wind damage is expected to develop across parts of the southern and central Plains from this afternoon into this evening and overnight. Some of your properties are in the storm's path and are at an increased risk of damage. IMPACT & TIMING

Severe weather is expected to fire this afternoon and evening across northwestern Texas, western Oklahoma, and southwestern Kansas and shift eastward as the evening and night progresses. These storms will be capable of producing tornadoes, damaging winds up to 80 mph, and very large hail. A few long-track, strong tornadoes will be possible this afternoon and evening across southwestern Kansas into western Oklahoma. Disruptions to logistical operations are expected, with power outages, road closures, major river flooding, and damage to businesses and homes all expected.
